X Album respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information X Album accesses or collects, why it is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to users.
X Album requests access to the user’s photo library so the user can organize, sort, group, review, and create content from photos stored on the device.
Photos and photo-library information are used only to provide X Album’s photo-management and photo-creation features.
X Album does not upload the user’s personal photos or videos to the developer’s CloudKit database or to third-party advertising or analytics services.
X Album provides users with separate choices for:
Helping improve the developer’s apps
Personalizing in-app promotional ads
If a user enables one or both choices, X Album may collect and store the following information using Apple CloudKit:
A pseudonymous CloudKit user identifier
The identifier of the app being used
An optional age range
An optional sex selection, including “Prefer not to say”
An optional three-digit ZIP region
Basic app activity, such as app openings and feature usage
Survey activity and optional survey answers
Information about promotional ads displayed and clicked
Dates associated with usage, surveys, and advertising events
Profiles created using an earlier version of X Album may contain a five-digit ZIP code until the profile is updated or deleted.
X Album does not request or collect the user’s name, email address, phone number, Apple ID credentials, precise location, contacts, or photo contents through this CloudKit system.
The user’s privacy choices, consent version, and choice date are also stored locally on the user’s device.
When the user enables “Help improve our apps,” permitted information may be used to:
Understand how X Album and its features are used
Improve X Album and other apps operated by the same developer
Evaluate feature performance
Determine eligibility for optional surveys
Review survey participation and answers
When the user enables “Personalize in-app ads,” permitted information may be used to:
Select relevant in-app promotional campaigns
Determine whether the user matches an intended audience
Count promotional impressions and clicks
Enforce campaign dates and impression limits
Evaluate campaign performance
A pseudonymous CloudKit identifier may connect permitted profile and activity information across participating apps operated by the same developer that use the shared CloudKit container.
Providing demographic information, enabling app-usage collection, enabling personalized ads, and answering surveys are optional.
X Album’s primary photo-organization features remain available if the user declines these choices. Users who decline personalized ads may still see general ads that are not selected using their demographic profile.
Basic app-usage information is collected only when the user enables “Help improve our apps.”
Demographic information may be used for ad selection, and ad views and clicks may be recorded, only when the user enables “Personalize in-app ads.”
Users can review or change their choices at any time from the Privacy & Data screen inside X Album.
X Album may display in-house or developer-managed promotional campaigns.
General ads may be displayed without using the user’s demographic profile. Personalized campaigns are selected only when the user has enabled personalized in-app ads and is eligible for personalization.
Users ages 13–17 are not eligible for personalized advertising and may receive general ads instead.
X Album does not analyze the contents of the user’s photos for advertising purposes.
X Album does not use Apple’s advertising identifier, third-party advertising networks, or tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.
X Album does not determine whether a user downloads an app, purchases a product, or completes another action after leaving X Album.
Cloud information is stored using Apple CloudKit.
The system uses a shared CloudKit public database, but profile, usage, and survey-response records are restricted through CloudKit security permissions. “Public database” is an Apple technical term and does not mean that other X Album users can browse personal profile or activity information.
The developer may access stored information when reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, improve, and evaluate the service.
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect stored information. However, no electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
X Album does not sell or rent personal information.
Profile, usage, survey, and advertising-interaction information is not shared with outside advertisers or data brokers.
Apple processes and stores CloudKit information as X Album’s cloud-service provider. Apple’s handling of information is also governed by Apple’s applicable privacy and service terms.
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, protect users, investigate misuse, or protect the security and operation of the service.
X Album attempts to remove usage, survey, and advertising-interaction records older than 24 months when the app is used and CloudKit is available.
If CloudKit is unavailable or the app is no longer being used, automatic cleanup may not occur until CloudKit becomes available and the app is used again.
Cloud profile information remains until the user deletes it or requests its deletion.
Users can select “Delete My Cloud Data” from the Privacy & Data screen inside X Album. This deletes the user’s CloudKit profile, usage events, survey responses, and user-linked advertising-interaction events.
Aggregate campaign totals that do not identify an individual user may remain after user-linked information is deleted.
Users may also request deletion assistance using the contact address below.
Some information may be retained when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, misuse, or security incidents.
X Album is intended for users age 13 and older.
Users under 13 should not submit demographic information, enable CloudKit information collection, or provide survey responses.
Users ages 13–17 are not eligible for personalized advertising. Where applicable law requires authorization from a parent or legal guardian for other optional information collection, that authorization must be obtained before the information is provided.
If a parent or legal guardian believes information associated with a child under 13 has been stored by X Album, they may use the in-app deletion feature or contact the developer to request deletion.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when X Album’s features, legal requirements, or data practices change.
The updated policy will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
