This Privacy Policy explains how Pitch It! ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application.
Camera and Photos: To provide our service, the app requires access to your device's camera. We use this to capture images of items you wish to assess.
Image Data: When you "Snap it," the image is processed to identify the item and assess its condition.
Device Information: We may collect basic information about your device (model, operating system) to ensure app performance.
We use the captured images and data solely to:
Identify items and provide recommendations (Sell, Donate, or Recycle).
Improve the accuracy of our AI recognition technology.
Provide a history of items you have assessed within the app.
Local Storage: Your item history and photos are primarily stored locally on your device.
Cloud Processing: Images may be temporarily uploaded to secure servers for AI analysis. We do not sell your photos to third parties.
We use Google AdMob to display ads within the app. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, approximate location, and other information to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's policy for AdMob and Ad Manager partner sites. We also use third-party tools for analytics or image recognition processing; these partners are required to protect your data and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing purposes.
Permissions: You can grant or revoke camera and photo library access at any time through your device settings.
Ad Personalization: You can turn off ad personalization for your device in your Google account's Ads settings.
Data Deletion: You can clear your item history directly within the app settings.
Pitch It! is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
