If you want immersive, dance-floor-ready audio with a wireless edge for long listening sessions, choose PIONEER STEEZ 808; if you need a reliable, plug-and-play communication tool with a dedicated boom mic for office calls or gaming, choose Logitech High-Performance USB Headset.
• PIONEER STEEZ 808: Best for music lovers who prioritize deep bass and DJ-style sound tuning; the trade-off is a lack of a built-in microphone and reliance on a wired connection alongside Bluetooth.
• Logitech High-Performance USB Headset: Best for professionals needing crystal-clear voice capture via a boom mic and instant PC connectivity; the trade-off is a design optimized for desk work rather than high-fidelity music enjoyment.
• Verdict: Pick the Pioneer for your ears and your music library, but grab the Logitech if you are looking for with microphone bluetooth headphones for big ears that double as a serious communication device.
The PIONEER STEEZ 808 is built on decades of experience from the professional DJ market, and that heritage shows in its specific tuning philosophy. This isn't just a pair of headphones designed to play any song; it is engineered to heighten the presentation and impact of beat-producing instruments. If you have ever felt like your music was missing a certain punch or clarity when the bass kicks in, this dual driver design aims to fix that. It utilizes a 40 mm low-range driver paired with a 30 mm high-range driver to separate frequencies effectively, ensuring that the heavy lows don't muddy the crisp highs. The sensitivity rating of 104dB/mW suggests these cans are quite efficient, meaning they can get loud and detailed without needing an amplifier, which is perfect for mobile listening or direct connections to phones and laptops.
For those with larger heads or "big ears," the over-ear cup design is a significant factor. These cups are shaped to fully encompass the ear, providing isolation and a sense of immersion that smaller drivers often fail to deliver. The headband and earcup construction use durable plastic, creating a lightweight yet sturdy frame that weighs in at 12.8 ounces. While the weight might seem substantial compared to some ultralight sport models, the distribution across the top of the head usually feels secure. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.0 technology adds a layer of versatility that many traditional studio monitors lack, allowing you to move freely around your room without being tethered by a cable, though you do retain a 3.5 mm jack for wired fallback.

However, there is a distinct limitation here that defines who should skip this model. The PIONEER STEEZ 808 does not include a built-in microphone. It relies entirely on touch controls for media management, lacking physical buttons for call handling because it simply cannot handle calls. If your primary goal involves taking conference calls, streaming gameplay where you talk to teammates, or using voice assistants hands-free while listening to music, this product will leave you frustrated. It is strictly a consumer audio device focused on the purity of the listening experience. You would buy this if you want gaming headphones for big ears that offer superior soundstage for single-player immersion, but you must provide your own external mic solution for multiplayer chat.
The Logitech High-Performance USB Headset H540 takes a completely different approach, prioritizing function and immediate utility over audiophile-grade separation. Its core strength lies in its laser-tuned drivers combined with a built-in equalizer (EQ) specifically calibrated for precision audio in a digital environment. This setup is designed to make conversations sound clear and rich, whether you are on a video call, attending a virtual meeting, or watching movies on your computer. The frequency response spans from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, covering the full range of human hearing, but the tuning emphasizes clarity in the mid-range where voices reside. The impedance is set at 20 ohms, which pairs well with standard USB outputs on modern computers, delivering power efficiently without draining laptop batteries unnecessarily.
Comfort is a major selling point for this headset, particularly for users who wear glasses or have sensitive ears. The earcups feature soft, padded leatherette material that is described as feeling good even after hours of continuous use. The headband is also adjustable and padded, distributing the weight of the 10.56-ounce unit evenly. For anyone searching for with mic head phones for big ears, the rounded over-ear shape is generous enough to accommodate various head sizes without causing pressure points. The design includes a right-sided boom microphone that can be positioned for optimal voice capture and tucked away inside the headband when you are just listening to music. This flexibility ensures the hardware doesn't get in the way during non-communication moments.
Connectivity is another area where the Logitech shines due to its simplicity. It uses a standard USB-A plug-and-play connection, meaning you do not need to install drivers or fiddle with complex settings. Just plug it into a Windows, Mac, or Chrome OS machine, and it works instantly. The on-ear controls allow you to adjust volume and bass levels directly on the right ear cup, and a mute indicator light provides visual confirmation when the microphone is disabled. However, the trade-off is that this is a wired-only solution. Unlike the Pioneer, it lacks wireless capability, so you are tethered to your computer by the USB cable. If you need to walk away from your desk while on a call, this headset will not support that mobility. It is a stationary tool for productivity and focused entertainment.

However, I would only recommend this if you already have a separate solution for calls. If your primary need is a reliable with microphone bluetooth headphones for big ears that you can plug straight into your computer for work or gaming, the Logitech wins every time. The convenience of the boom mic and the ease of USB connectivity outweigh the slightly less nuanced sound signature for practical daily use. Ultimately, the Pioneer is for the listener, and the Logitech is for the communicator.
