PI/OHD/TBI

All students in special education are placed into a category based on their diagnosis, needs, and meeting criteria.  Physical impairments (PI), Other Health Disabilities (OHD), and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) are often grouped together. If you have a student on your caseload or in your classroom, a PI/OHD consultant will be part of that student's IEP team.

Cerebral Palsy and Spina bifida are the more common physical impairments you will see on a student's IEP. Under the OHD and TBI tabs, we will go through how a student might qualify for those categories and how to best support them in your classroom.
