Pinoy Cookbook

This Privacy Policy describes how the Pinoy Cookbook mobile application ("the App"), developed by Jerome Arenas, collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

a) Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google LLC) to automatically collect crash reports when the App encounters an error. This may include:

- Device model and operating system version

- App version

- Stack traces and crash logs

- Anonymous device identifiers

This data is used solely to diagnose and fix bugs to improve app stability. Crashlytics data collection is disabled in debug builds and is active only in production releases. Users cannot opt out of crash reporting.

b) Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC) to display advertisements. AdMob may collect:

- Advertising ID (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS)

- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)

- IP address (used to infer approximate location for ad targeting)

- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

Ad personalization preferences can be managed directly within the App via the "Change privacy preferences" button on the About page. Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) will be shown a consent form before personalized ads are served.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

- No personal information (name, email address, phone number)

- No precise location data

- No contacts or call logs

- No photos, files, or media from your device

- No account registration or login data

Favorites (saved recipes) are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to any server.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

4. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can delete it.

5. Data Retention

- Crash data is retained by Firebase Crashlytics per Google's data retention policies.

- Ad data is retained by Google AdMob per Google's data retention policies.

- Local favorites remain on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
