Pinjore Garden is located in Pinjore, Panchkula district in the Indian state of Haryana. Pinjore garden is also known as Yadavindra Garden. It is my hometown and i will share you all details in this article. It is an example of the Mughal Garden style, and was built by Patiala Dynasty Rulers. The garden is in the Pinjore lie 22 km from Chandigarh on the Ambala-Shimla road. It was created in the 17th century by architect Nawab Fidai Khan.

Features of Pinjore Garden

Pinjore Garden is built in the typical Mughal style.

It has downward seven stories, opposite of upward typical Mughal style. Seven stories garden gives magical view from top.

Jal mahal

In the center of Pinjore Garden you will find the Jal Mahal surrounded by water fountains. Now a days, Jal Mahal is used to enjoy lite foods and drinks for the visitors. It is most attractive place to sit for a moment and have some clicks with your camera. Here you will also found photo studios to click your professional photos.

Shish Mahal

Shish Mahal is made up of beautiful glass house of Mugals. It is situated on outer right side of the Entry gate of the Pinjore Garden, which is reserved for special purpose and open very occasionally for all.

How to reach Pinjore Garden from Chandigarh

Pinjore garden is 22 Km from Chandigarh. You can reach Pinjore garden by following transport.

  1. Train - You need to take train from Chandigarh to Kalka and then take Taxi from Kalka to Pinjore Garden. Not a recommended option as distance is small and very few trains and times are not suitable.
  2. Bus - You can take direct Bus from Chandigarh Bus stand from Sector 43 to Pinjore. Cheapest way to reach Pinjore from Chandigarh.
  3. Taxi - You can hire Taxi from Chandigarh to Pinjore. Toll tax will be extra at Chandimandir Toll Tax pint.

Pinjore Garden timing

Pinjore Garden is open all days from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Best day to visit Pinjore garden is Saturday and Sunday.

Pinjore Garden Entry Tickets

25 Rupees per head entry ticket is levied by Haryana tourisum to enter inside Pinjore garden. You can visit directly to Pinjore Garden and take your tickets at the entry gate. No online booking is required.

Parking facility is easily available for all visitors for Buses, Cars and Motor bikes etc.

Outside of the Pinjore Garden

Near the entry gate of Pinjore garden, you will find lots of fun activity for kids like horse riding, camel riding, Toy trains and lots of play activities to have fun. Ply zone is also available for all kinds of magical rides and swings.

Special Programs of Pinjore Garden

Every year Majorly two programs are celebrated in Pinjore garden including some other craft mela and cultural programs.

Baisakhi Mela in Pinjore Garden

Baisakhi fair on April 13 and 14 at Pinjore Garden

In the month of April 13th and 14th, Baisakhi Mela is organzed by Haryans tourisum every year. In the day time, few program are presented by Artists and art and craft stalls are organized for the visitors. In the evening, cultural programs are organized with Punjab and Haryana singers and artists.

Mango Mela in Pinjore Garden

- In the month of June and July, Mango Mela (Mango festival) is held every year. This Mela lasts for two or three days. In the day time all different types of Mangoes are exhibited to the visitors. Most famous Mangoes are Haathi Mangoes, Tiny Mangoes and several hundred types of Mangoes are exhibited. In the evening time, cultural programs are organized for the visitors on these days, which includes singers from Punjab.
