Ping Monitor is developed and published by The Myth.

This Privacy Policy explains how Ping Monitor handles information when you use the application.

1. Overview

Ping Monitor is a network monitoring application that allows users to monitor IP addresses and hostnames using ping-based status checks.

Ping Monitor does not require users to create an account. Ping Monitor does not operate its own backend server and does not collect personal information from users.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Ping Monitor may store the following information locally on your device:

- Hostnames or IP addresses added by the user

- Host display names

- Groups created by the user

- Monitoring preferences

- Theme preferences

- License status cache

- Import and export configuration selected by the user

This information is stored locally on your device and is used only to provide the application’s monitoring and configuration features.

3. Network Monitoring Data

Ping Monitor sends network requests from your device to the IP addresses or hostnames that you add to the app.

These requests are used to determine whether a host is reachable and to calculate basic monitoring information such as status, packet loss, and latency.

Ping Monitor does not send your host list, group list, monitoring targets, or ping results to The Myth.

4. Import and Export

Ping Monitor allows users to manually export and import their monitoring configuration.

Exported files may contain hostnames, IP addresses, group names, and related monitoring configuration. Users are responsible for keeping exported files secure and sharing them only with trusted parties.

Ping Monitor does not automatically upload exported files to any server.

5. In-App Purchases

Ping Monitor offers optional in-app purchases such as Pro and Elite upgrades.

Payments and purchase processing are handled by Google Play Billing. Ping Monitor does not collect or store your payment card information.

The app may check your purchase status through Google Play in order to unlock paid features.

6. Data Collection

Ping Monitor does not collect personal information such as:

- Name

- Email address

- Phone number

- Contacts

- Photos or videos

- Precise location

- Payment card details

Ping Monitor does not use advertising SDKs and does not track users for advertising purposes.

7. Data Sharing

Ping Monitor does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.

Some functionality, such as in-app purchases, is provided through Google Play services. Google may process data according to Google’s own privacy policy and Google Play Billing requirements.

8. Data Security

Ping Monitor stores app configuration locally on your device.

You should protect your device with a secure lock screen and avoid sharing exported configuration files with untrusted parties, especially if they contain private IP addresses, hostnames, or internal network information.

9. Children’s Privacy

Ping Monitor is not designed for children and is not directed to children.

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
