Do I need previous tutoring experience to be a tutor?

No! We welcome any open-minded volunteers to work with our kids. We provide simple academic games to play, and their homework is at a K-5 level. We have a lot of smart kids and they are often able to help each other out as well--we are mostly looking for good role models and positive energy!

How do I start?

For Fall 2026, orientation will be September 8, 9, and 10. You can come whichever day! Interested volunteers who cannot attend orientation should email pinewoodstutoring@gmail.com to schedule a time to come in.
