Pine Tree United is a grassroots resistance group based in Maine, founded in response to the growing threats to democracy, civil rights, and the rule of law in the United States. We are parents, workers, students, caregivers, and neighbors who believe that silence is not an option—and that local action matters. 

What started as a small group of concerned Mainers has grown into a committed community of organizers, educators, and everyday citizens who refuse to sit by while authoritarianism takes hold. We’re here to hold power accountable, protect the vulnerable, and stand up for truth, justice, and democracy. 

We believe in people over politics. In organizing over apathy. In action over despair. Whether we’re protesting in the streets, testifying at city council, or simply supporting each other in this fight—we show up. And we won’t back down.
