This Privacy Policy describes how Aashish Patil ("I," "me," or "my") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with your use of the "Pin List" mobile application (the "App") and related services.

By using the Pin List App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

When you use the Pin List App, I collect the following types of information:

  • Google System Identifier: When you use Google Sign-In, we store a unique, anonymous identifier provided by Google to secure your data in our database. We do not store your email address, name, photo, or other personal information from your Google account. This identifier is solely used to link your user-generated content to your account and facilitate secure access.

  • We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous data about how users interact with the App's features. This includes information such as:

    • Which features are used most frequently.

    • App crashes and performance data.

    • General usage patterns (e.g., number of lists created, times features are accessed).

  • This data is aggregated and anonymized, meaning it cannot be used to identify you personally. It helps us understand usage patterns to improve the App's functionality and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the App: To allow you to create, store, access, and manage your locations, lists, and list items.

• To Secure Your Data: The Google system identifier is used to authenticate your access to your saved data and ensure that your content is only accessible by you.

• To Improve the App: Anonymous usage data helps us understand how the App is used, identify areas for improvement, fix bugs, and develop new features.

• To Communicate with You: If you use the in-app or website contact form, we will use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries, feedback, or support requests.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Your Information

I do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information (such as your user-generated content or Google system identifier) to outside parties.

• Service Providers: We use Google Analytics for Firebase as a third-party service provider to assist us in analyzing how our App is used. These service providers are given access to the anonymous usage data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

• Legal Requirements: I may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).

• Protection of Rights: I may disclose your information when I believe it is necessary to protect my rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.

4. Data Security

I implement reasonable security measures designed to protect the information collected from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While I strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Data Retention

I will retain your user-generated content (locations, lists, and list items) and your Google system identifier for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our active databases within a reasonable timeframe. Anonymous usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and Deletion of Your Data: You can access, modify, or delete your user-generated content directly within the App. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, please contact me through the in-app or website contact form.

• Opt-out of Analytics: While our analytics are anonymous, if you have concerns about the collection of even anonymized usage data, you may be able to disable certain analytics features through your device settings or specific app settings if provided in a future update.

7. Children's Privacy

The Pin List App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided me with personal information, please contact me, and I will take steps to remove that information from my servers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update my Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
