The Art of Karate

The Art of Karate is a 2025 Australian martial arts drama short film that tells the story of Eric Roman a Karate prodigy who 17 years old mentored by his uncle and sensei David Thompson and confronted by a local karate champion receives help from his former sensei David Thompson the movie was written, directed, produced by, and starring Xavier Priadko in his directorial debut it is inspired by The Karate Kid franchise and it stars Nigel Rodighiero, Charlotte Priadko, and Dominic Rodighiero distributed by Pimpala Films and Kingston Films.

Set in February of 2023 where 17 year old Eric is a basic skilled fighter and a student in the city of Adelaide his uncle named David trains his nephew Eric the style of Taekwondo and karate inside of uncle David's Garage. Sensei David takes Eric to an event for Eric his nephew to compete in the Art of Karate tournament confronting his enemy Jonathan on the mat.
