If you have good internet and an okay computer you can try to install the X-Plane 11 demo at home from link https://www.x-plane.com/desktop/try-it/ . (It runs okay on 2015 mid-level imacs, but it takes a few minutes to load. Newer computers will load faster and allow higher resolution images.) See my "how-to videos" and "settings" pages for some tips on graphics and keyboard settings. (Also see article about the tons of physics improvements for upcoming 2022 X-Plane 12.)
ps: There's a cool Flight Simulator online that Raimi B. found: https://www.geo-fs.com/geofs.php
Beware: Sometimes geo-fs is laggy. Note: Doesn't work on iphone, probably not on iPad unless you have keyboard (wants mouse or keyboard or joystick).
The "Options" button along the bottom allows one to fly with either mouse or keyboard or external joystick.
Important: with mouse fly, the Number keys 0-9 control the throttle, "P" is pause, "G" is landing gear, "[" lowers the flaps, "N" is NavMap. Intro screen is lying when it says that plus and minus control throttle: not true.
"N" brings up a Nav map. The "Location" and "Camera" tabs along the bottom are fun. (I'm enjoying Courcheval airport in the Alps, and Aircraft carrier with Otter airplane, with cockpit view.) More info at https://www.geo-fs.com
