This policy explains what information DosePulse handles, where it is stored, and who can see it.
In short: your medicines, doses, photos and Medical ID stay on your phone. We never receive them. The app has no accounts. A small amount of anonymous technical data is sent to our service providers so the app works, crashes can be fixed and subscriptions can be unlocked.
1. Information that stays on your phone
Everything you enter into DosePulse is stored only on your device. Medicine photos are kept in the app's private storage, and everything else is kept in an encrypted database:
medicine names, doses, forms and instructions
reminder times, schedules and stock counts
your dose history (taken, skipped, missed)
the names of people you manage medicines for
your Medical ID (blood type, allergies, conditions, emergency contact, doctor)
We do not receive, upload, sync, sell or share this information. It is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. If you share a PDF report, it is sent only to the app or person you choose.
You can delete all of it at any time in Settings → Data → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app.
2. Information collected by our service providers
To run the app we use the following services. None of them receive any medicine name, dose, reminder time, photo, profile name or other health information.
Firebase Analytics (Google)
Receives: anonymous app instance ID, advertising ID, app usage events (for example: onboarding finished, a dose was logged, a medicine was saved — counts and categories only), device model, Android version, approximate country
Why: to understand how the app is used and improve it
Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
Receives: crash reports, stack traces, device model, Android version, anonymous installation ID
Why: to find and fix crashes
Firebase Authentication — anonymous (Google)
Receives: a random anonymous user ID
Why: to keep your subscription linked to the app if you reinstall
Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.)
Receives: the anonymous user ID above, subscription status and purchase history
Why: to show subscription offers and unlock Pro
Google Play Billing (Google)
Receives: payment and purchase details
Why: to process subscriptions (handled entirely by Google Play)
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location. The advertising ID is currently used for analytics only.

3. Permissions the app uses
Notifications — to show medicine reminders.
Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — to ring at the exact time a dose is due.
Run at startup — to restore your reminders after the phone restarts.
Camera — the app does not ask for camera permission. When you choose to add a photo, your phone's camera app takes it and the picture is saved inside DosePulse on your phone only.
Internet — used only by the services listed in section 2.
4. How long information is kept
Data on your phone: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Firebase Analytics events: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
Crashlytics crash reports: about 90 days, then deleted automatically.
Subscription records (Adapty, Google Play): as long as needed to provide the subscription and meet legal and accounting obligations.
5. Your choices and rights
Delete everything on your phone: Settings → Data → Delete all data, or uninstall the app.
Reset the advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads (wording varies by phone).
Cancel a subscription: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
The data held by our service providers is anonymous and not linked to your name or email, so we cannot identify which records belong to you. If you have a question about your data, contact us at the email below.
6. Security
The medication database on your phone is encrypted with a key protected by the Android Keystore. Medicine photos are kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. Data sent to our service providers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No system is completely secure, but we limit what leaves your device to the anonymous technical data described above.
7. Children
DosePulse is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Medical disclaimer
DosePulse is a reminder and tracking tool. It does not give medical advice. Always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
