The Pill Hill Brew Crew (PHBC) was formed to strive for excellence in brewing education, field research and even possibly one day scholarship. Through a dynamic interdisciplinary membership, regardless of mission or FOMOPPL, PHBC seeks to create a community to actively propagate the culture of brewing science, technique, appreciation and camaraderie among students, faculty, staff and our friends throughout Oregon.
Setting the example for collaboration, sharing of knowledge and pints, PHBC strives to:
Educate tomorrow's homebrewers to prepare them for a lifetime of learning, brewing and contribution to the homebrewing community
Explore extract, partial grain, and all grain brewing and current brewing and fermentation research frontiers, and translate these discoveries into the production of excellent homebrew
Deliver excellence in sharing brewing knowledge, emphasizing collaboration and the exchange of homebrew
Lead and advocate for the making and enjoyment of ales, lagers, and other mix fermentation projects to help improve the appreciation of all beer types and styles, and extend our members' understanding of brewing science and technique.
