BROKEN WING - INTRODUCTION

It is generally believed by musicologists that the original scores of the song cycle BROKEN WING were lost in a skirmish in an Ostend bunker at the end of the Second World War.

However, three members of the military band continued to search for copies of those songs for years.

These were eventually found in a damp basement of the Ministry of Defense.

Phil, Bill and Jill began to reconstruct the almost illegible scores.

A painstaking task, for which they hoped to receive a generous stipend.

This CD contains all the well-known repertoire (NIL) plus thirteen Broken Wing-style bonus tracks.

Today, Jill is active as president of the continental cat league “Ketakat”.

Phil specialized in the sale of second hand Cadillac vintage cars, especially the Coupe De Ville 1959.

And finally, Bill imports Buffalo Ranch Dressings and Sauces all over Europe.

Any resemblance to actual persons is purely coincidental.
