Welcome!

I'm Pietro Geuna, a Ph.D. student at the Paris School of Economics. At PSE, I am part of the team of the Labor Chair. I am also a research affiliate at the Institute of Public Policies (IPP).

I am currently visiting UC Berkeley's IRLE, hosted by Emmanuel Saez, and will be in California until the end of 2025. In the second semester, I willl be back in London, to visit UCL and the IFS, hosted by Richard Blundell. 

My work is in labor economics, with a focus on wage setting protocols, labor market power, and the determinants of worker mobility. I am also interested in applied econometrics and political economy, and I am particularly drawn to the history and politics of trade unions.

My supervisors are Thomas Breda and Éric Maurin. Before starting my Ph.D., I completed a BA at University College London (ESPS) and a Master's degree at PSE (APE). I am originally from Turin, Italy, and I'm an avid chess fan. For more information, see my CV.
