Our Mission
The library media program provides access to information and ideas for the entire school community and is an integral component of the total educational process. It is planned, achieved, and directed by a certificated media specialist with the assistance of trained support staff. This is a mission accomplished through partnerships among the library media specialist, teachers, students, administrators and parents.
Goals
The goals of the library media program of the Pierce Public School System are determined by the educational goals and objectives of the district. The library media program makes available to all teachers and students the information they need to successfully meet their stated goals and objectives. Services of the library media program include the following areas: Instruction, Information Access, Staff Development, Curriculum Planning, Production, and Public Relations.
