Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the PicPurge app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Serdar Yazici (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as an Ad Supported service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as:

• Your device’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address).

• The pages or screens of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages.

• The operating system used on your mobile device.

• Approximate location data (as described below).

The Application collects your device’s location, which helps the Service Provider determine your approximate geographical location in order to:

1. Geolocation Services: Provide features such as personalized content, relevant recommendations, and location-based services.

2. Analytics and Improvements: Use aggregated and anonymized location data to analyze user behavior, identify trends, and improve the overall performance and functionality of the Application.

3. Third-Party Services: Occasionally share anonymized location data with external services that assist the Service Provider in enhancing the Application and optimizing offerings.

The Service Provider may use the information you provide to contact you from time to time with important information, required notices, or marketing promotions.

For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may request you to provide certain personally identifiable information. Any information requested will be retained by the Service Provider and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

Access to Photos and Media

The Application requires access to your device’s photo library to identify similar or duplicate images and allow you to delete them easily.

• Local Processing Only: All analysis of photos occurs exclusively on your device. No images or related metadata are uploaded to or stored on the Service Provider’s servers.

• No Data Sharing: The Application does not share or transmit any photo data to third parties.

• User-Initiated Deletion: The decision to delete photos is entirely up to you, and the Application never deletes any photos without your explicit consent.

No Data Storage

The Service Provider does not maintain any servers or databases to store user data. The Application does not require a user account, and no personally identifiable information is collected or stored by the Service Provider. Any data processing (e.g., photo analysis) occurs locally on the device. 

Location Data

The Application does not actively collect or store precise location data. However, advertisers (e.g., Google AdMob) may use your IP address to determine approximate location for ad targeting. The Service Provider does not control or have direct access to this data. 

Third-Party Access and Advertising (Google AdMob)

The Application displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may use the advertising identifier on your device and other data (such as IP address or approximate location) to personalize ads. The Service Provider does not control how Google processes this data. For more information, please consult Google’s Privacy Policy. If you wish to opt out of personalized ads, you can adjust your device settings (on Android or iOS) to limit ad tracking. 

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help the Service Provider improve the Application and the services offered. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own privacy policies regarding data handling. Below are links to the Privacy Policies of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

• Google AdMob complies with various privacy regulations, including GDPR, COPPA, and other applicable laws. For more details on their compliance, please see Google’s Privacy Policy. (Google Play Services)

• AdMob

The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;

• when the Service Provider believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

• to trusted service providers who work on the Service Provider’s behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Legal Basis (GDPR)

For users in the European Union, any data processing by the Application that might constitute personal data processing is based on:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), where you have explicitly agreed (for example, when providing permission to access your photos or allowing location access).

• Legitimate Interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), for limited technical data needed to operate and improve the Application.
  Most data collection occurs through Google AdMob, which operates under its own Privacy Policy and GDPR compliance framework.

• EU users who wish to exercise their GDPR rights (e.g., right to access, rectification, erasure, objection) in relation to data collected via AdMob should review Google’s Privacy Policy for instructions, as the Service Provider does not control or store any AdMob data. 

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Children’s Privacy

The Service Provider is committed to complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and relevant provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding minors.

1. General Audience:
   The Application is suitable for users of all ages, including children. However, the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (USA) or below the applicable age of consent in the EU (which may vary between 13 and 16, depending on the member state) without verifiable parental consent.

2. Parental Consent:

   • If you are a child under the age of 13 in the United States, or under the applicable age of consent in your EU member state (13–16), you must not use this Application or provide personal information unless your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to this Privacy Policy and provided verifiable parental consent where required.

3. Unintentional Collection:

   • If the Service Provider discovers that a child under the relevant age limit has provided them with personal information without parental consent, that information will be promptly deleted from their servers.

   • If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information without your consent, please contact the Service Provider at about@picpurge.de so they can take the necessary measures.

By ensuring these protocols, the Service Provider aims to protect the privacy of children and adhere to COPPA and GDPR regulations.

Security

The Service Provider takes precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of your information. They implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect any information processed and maintained.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy regularly, as continued use of the Application is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended by the Service Provider.
