This Privacy Policy describes how Axonet EmSys Pvt Ltd ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PicoNxt EM mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
PicoNxt EM is an energy meter monitoring application. It does not require account creation, login, or sign-in, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
The App collects and processes the following limited information:
Energy Meter Device ID: When you add an energy meter device in the App, its device ID is stored so the App can retrieve and display readings for that device.
Energy Meter Readings: Device data such as energy consumption readings, timestamps, and related meter parameters, which are transmitted by your energy meter hardware and stored on our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) so they can be viewed within the App.
We do not collect information about your personal mobile device (such as your phone's device ID, contacts, camera, photos, or precise location), and we do not access any of your personal files other than the storage permission described below.
The App requests storage permission on your device solely to generate, save, and share PDF reports of your energy meter readings. This permission is not used to access, read, or collect any other files or personal data on your device.
The limited information described above is used only to:
Display real-time and historical energy meter readings within the App
Generate PDF reports of energy consumption for your reference
Maintain and improve the functionality of the App
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through the App to third parties.
Energy meter readings are stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), a cloud service provided by Google. We take reasonable measures to protect this data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
The App uses the following third-party service:
Google Firebase – for cloud data storage. Firebase's own privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Energy meter device IDs and readings are retained for as long as necessary to provide the App's functionality, or until you request deletion.
Since the App does not collect personally identifiable information and does not require login, there is no personal user account data to access, modify, or delete. If you have added a device and wish to have its associated data removed from our systems, you may contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
