About Pickleball OSC
The Okotoks South-Calgary Competitive Pickleball Club (or Pickleball OSC) is composed of approximately 50 experienced racquet and paddle players who live in and around the neighbouring municipalities of Okotoks, Alberta and Calgary, Alberta.
Members and guests of Pickleball OSC meet twice-a-week to play competitive games at one of two regional sports halls:
a six-court facility on the south-eastern edge of Okotoks, Alberta called the Crescent Point Regional Field House and
a five-court facility in south-east Calgary, Alberta called the Junior Varsity Volleyball Training Centre.

Doing Pickleball Differently?
At Pickleball OSC, we are doing pickleball differently. Here's how:
We "set" games (pick partners and pick opponents) in any manner we choose. For more information, navigate to the Setting Games page to read an essay on how this method of mixing improves games and draws talented players to the club.
We score games according to the rally point system. Scoring pickleball in this way brings numerous positive changes to the game. While there, forward-thinking athletes will find sufficient information to implement rally point scoring at their own venues should they choose to do so.
We host Kings' Court Lightning tournaments. Pickleball players travel from their various regional clubs to the Pickleball OSC venue to take part in these events. Competitors regularly report that they prefer both the frequency and the speed of these 90-minute tournaments to the more traditional and protracted three-day pickleball competitions common to the sport. We organize competitive-play using the text broadcasting platform called "WhatsApp Messenger" in combination with information posted to this website.
