ACHIEVING SUSTAINABILITY, ECO-FRIENDLY, AND SOLAR: PICE-CS CONSTRUCTS 3-IN1 SOLAR CHERGING STATION
Driven by PICE Project Green Engineering Philippines and Solid Waste Management, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – Camarines Sur Chapter developed its first 3-in-1 Solar Charging Station which was donated the unit to Borongborongan Elementary School in Milaor last October 3, 2024.
The device is made up of three sections: a solar charging unit that charges portable electronics with solar energy is the first section. The solar panel serves as the station's roof in addition to providing shade. For the second section, a bench area with a backrest constructed for you to sit while you wait for your devices to be charged. The bench area was built with using recycled bitumen steel drums. In addition to this, three segregation bins were positioned at the backrest of the bench by maximizing and creatively fabricating the steel drums. This project required a great deal of dedication and collaborative thinking to be achieved. Our very own Engr. Ryan S. Guevarra, the current PICE-CS President, designed this sustainable project.

These needs may call for the use of teaching strategies and additional aids and services in non-academic settings. Moreover, SNED is among the programs that support the development of learners' knowledge, abilities, attitudes, and values in a variety of areas in order to facilitate the execution of DepEd Order No. 10, series of 2024, also known as the MATATAG Curriculum.

The soft induction of the 2024 PICE Camarines Sur Chapter Officers. This momentous event took place on January 7, 2024, at The Avenue Plaza Hotel, where the newly elected officers were officially inducted by the esteemed Hon. Anthony Reyes.
During the induction, we had the privilege of hosting two insightful seminars that added immense value to the event. The first seminar, conducted by Atty. Veronica Serrano, focused on parliamentary procedure. This session shed light on the importance of parliamentary procedure in organizational meetings. It highlighted how following proper protocols and rules can enhance the efficiency, fairness, and productivity of discussions, decision-making, and overall meeting outcomes.
The second seminar was a motivational one, led by Ms. Leciel Ramos, which centered around the concept of "ikigai" - finding one's life purpose. This session encouraged our officers to reflect on their roles as leaders and the significance of their contributions. It served as a reminder of the importance of aligning personal values and goals with the organization's mission, ultimately fostering a sense of fulfillment and purpose in their leadership journey.
