Cybersecurity is an increasingly in-demand field of Computer Science. In this camp students will look at the major ideas in the fields of Cybersecurity or Information Assurance. This is not a "hacking" camp but we encourage students to learn about computers, programs, networks, and how people are exploited by hackers and what we can do to prevent or minimize the damage caused by bad actors.

BSides is a conference for sharing security knowledge to anyone wanting to receive it. It's about building a community that thrives on sharing information and building each other up. Every single person that attends BSides is not just coming to a conference- they are joining a family that will help build them up and educate them for success in their field. It is meant to both educate and build relationships among everyone in all security fields. BSides is about Unity, Family, Socialization and learning.

Established in December 2022, WiCys Idaho is focused on enhancing the WiCyS mission through outreach, awareness, sharing, mentoring, and engagement across the state of Idaho in academia, research, government and industry. 

The cybersecurity opportunities are growing in Idaho and WiCyS Idaho is dedicated to creating a community of women, allies, and advocates who are at any level in their career.
