A Siena, dopo aver festeggiato con colleghi ed amici il giorno della sua andata in pensione, il procuratore capo Rosario Saracini, sta per rientrare a casa. Nell'androne del palazzo un uomo lo assale poi gli d un pacchetto contenente un filmato Super8. Il giudice lo proietta e scopre che ci sono le immagini del rapimento e della strage di via Fani avvenuti a Roma il 16 marzo 1978. Il giorno dopo lo sconosciuto confida a Saracini di aver fatto parte del commando che rap l'on. Moro e promette di portarlo al memoriale scritto dalla vittima e finora sconosciuto. Pur turbato di fronte a questi avvenimenti che lo colgono proprio in coincidenza con l'arrivo della pensione, Saracini decide di andare fino in fondo e chiede la collaborazione a due suoi fidatissimi: il caposcorta Branco e il sostituto Fernanda Doni. Insieme cominciano a studiare tutte le fasi del caso Moro, mettono a confronto i fatti, le tracce, gli indizi. Scoprono cos che molte menzogne sono state dette e molte verit taciute. La CIA sembra aver pilotato il tutto, soprattutto per impedire l'ingresso nel governo del Partito Comunista Italiano. Arrivano anche minacce a Saracino, poi il finto rapimento dei figli di Fernanda, quindi la morte, in un incidente d'auto, del marito di lei. Qualcuno sta cercando il dischetto che lo sconosciuto ha dato a Saracini, prima di essere ucciso. Ora il procuratore viene convocato a Roma. Prima di partire, consegna il dischetto a Branco, l'unica persona di cui si fida. Arrivato nella capitale, si reca in un appartamento in piazza delle Cinque Lune. Ad aspettarlo, tra gli altri, c' anche Branco...

Placed in the path of the tank of the Acea, originally the fountain was in Rome, in piazza Madama, angolo via delle Cinque Lune.

Its realization has its origins from the contest that the then "Governorship of Rome" banned in 1928 with the aim of achieving 10 new artistic fountains, to be placed in replacement of traditional cast iron columns, in the different districts of the city.

For the fountain in piazza Madama won the assignment professor Salvatore Amato. The inspiration for the design of the fountain was the coat of arms of Palazzo Piccolomini, on whose walls was leaning against. The artist, in fact, would pose a full moon surrounded by four other moons, 2 in the first phase and 2 in the final. A pan in pods and a storage tank completed everything, fence from 4 columns with iron bars. The full moon was throwing water Central with a pleasant effect.

In 1936, to make way for the construction of the present Corso Rinascimento, the building was demolished and the fountain was removed, disassembled and placed in warehouses.

After the war the Fontana delle Cinque Lune became part of the panorama of the nearby Fiumicino as neighborhood fountain.
