The event Polynomial Identities and Representation Theory aims to foster dialogue between PI-theory and representation theory, two areas of mathematics that are deeply interconnected through shared structures and techniques.
The event will bring together researchers working in both fields, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas, methods, and open problems. A substantial part of the programme will be devoted to collective discussions, with the aim of identifying new research directions and encouraging future collaborations.
The conference will take place at the University of L'Aquila, which provides a natural setting for this initiative thanks to the presence of researchers working in both areas.
The event is funded by INdAM (Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica) within the framework of “Attività presso l'Unità di ricerca INdAM 2027”.
