The great physicist and Nobel Prize Laureate, Richard Feynman, was quoted as saying, “If you can’t explain something in simple terms, you don’t understand it". Feynman would also be the first to admit if he could not explain something simply, and therefore, did not really understand it fully!
In this course, we continue with an emphasis on conceptual understanding, as well as application. And, following Richard Feynman's example, encourage you to freely ask questions when you do not understand something, no matter how simple the question may seem.
Our Website
Our website is primarily devoted to, and themed around, the physics of imaging modalities.
The modalities forming the central themes include: Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Computerised Tomography (CT), and the science of Gamma Camera (GC) imaging.
We have plans to include the physics of: Ultrasound (US), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), as resource pages later.
Discussions and papers on Artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging will be integrated into the major modalities.
The class website will announce the latest information, along with the class social media platform.
New features and updates will be added to our website as we go along.
You are encouraged to help us improve our website.
Help to make it as user friendly as possible, by providing design and other suggestions.
