PHYS 400

Welcome to PHYS400, also known as Special Problems in Physics, which is a part of the compulsory Physics curriculum of the Department of Physics at the Middle East Technical University (www.physics.metu.edu.tr). In this course, each student is expected to complete a project with a faculty member of their choice.

The course has several elements preparing the student for scientific research:

• writing a proposal

• writing reports

• creating a poster

• and making a presentation.
