Phugo ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Phugo mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy, maintaining your anonymity, and giving you absolute control over your data.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our location-based dating and social networking platform. By using Phugo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Phugo is explicitly designed and restricted for adult use only.
Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use Phugo.
Child Privacy Protection: We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain any personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we discover that a minor has created an account, it will be permanently and immediately purged from our servers without notice.
Unlike traditional social platforms, Phugo prioritizes minimization of personal data collection to protect user identities.
To connect you with nearby users within the discovery grid, the App requires access to your device's precise location services (GPS and network-based).
How it is used: We use your location coordinates to calculate relative proximity sorting matrices (e.g., displaying "500m away" to nearby profiles).
Privacy Protections: Your exact static coordinates or mapping indexes are NEVER shared directly with other users or third parties.
User Control: You can control, restrict, or mask your location tracking at any time by enabling Anonymous Mode, using a Virtual Location via app settings, or disabling location permissions through your device's operating system settings.
We collect and process the data you choose to broadcast on the platform to facilitate community features:
Profile Metadata: Non-identifying profile attributes such as display names, age, role, and physical preferences.
Media Assets: Photos uploaded to your public profile or your Private Album. Private Album assets are encrypted and only accessible to users you explicitly authorize.
Temporary Statuses: Text and temporary updates posted via Meet Now Pulse. These are volatile data structures that automatically expire after 5 hours and are completely wiped from our infrastructure.
Phugo utilizes an anonymous, automated authentication system. We do NOT require a personal email address, phone number, or government-issued identification to establish an account. Your session token is bound directly to your physical device node and our authentication cluster.
We enforce strict data minimization and housekeeping constraints to ensure stale data is completely eliminated:
Inactivity Deletion: If your account remains completely offline/inactive for more than 7 consecutive days, it is flagged as stale. Our automated backend systems will permanently purge your profile, location history, media assets, and active tokens from our live databases.
Discovery Offlining: To keep the local grid active and authentic, your profile is automatically masked and removed from the active Discover feed if you remain offline for more than 24 hours.
App Uninstallation/Data Clears: Because accounts are anonymous and tied to local device instances, deleting the App or clearing local storage memory without an active backup will result in an immediate, irreversible loss of access to your profile data.
To guarantee zero-leak security configurations and protect our users against digital exploitation or non-consensual disclosure of dialogue history, Phugo enforces high-level operating system window flags (WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_SECURE or platform equivalents).
The App explicitly restricts and invalidates native operating system actions involving:
Hardware screenshots
Video screen recording logs
System multitasking framework frame log snapshots
External display mirroring hooks
We maintain an uncompromising stance on data monetization:
Zero Third-Party Selling: We do NOT sell, trade, rent, or lease your identity, chat logs, physical coordinates, or sexual preferences to third-party marketing, data brokers, or advertising agencies.
Service Providers: We may utilize trusted infrastructure platforms (such as Google Firebase/Firestore Cloud Infrastructure) strictly to host data, transmit push notifications, and maintain database state. These entities are bound by strict data processing agreements to keep your infrastructure anonymous and secure.
Legal Obligations: We will only disclose user records if strictly required to do so by a valid, legally binding subpoena, court order, or statutory mandate from lawful authorities, or to mitigate emergency safety scenarios involving immediate physical harm.
You retain absolute sovereignty over your digital footprint.
Deep Purge Command: At any point, you can trigger a "Deep Purge" or "Delete Account" operation directly from your in-app Privacy Settings.
Effect of Deletion: Executing this action initiates an immediate, synchronous, and completely irreversible destruction of your profile documents, uploaded imagery, active broadcasts, and messaging transients across all active production servers.
To comply with global developer safety policies and maintain community well-being, we enforce robust reporting and blocking structures:
Local Blocklists: When you block an offensive or undesired user, their unique identifier is mapped locally on your node device to completely obstruct mutual visibility across the grid.
UGC Moderation: Messages or profiles flagged for severe policy violations (such as harassment, fraud, illegal solicitation, or distribution of illicit materials) may be evaluated by automated detection parameters or human compliance teams to protect users from exploitation.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to align with app updates or shifting regulatory compliance rules. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the policy text within the App interface and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
