PHS Math Team
Introduction
Welcome to the Princeton High School Math Team website!
PHS Math Team participates in math competitions throughout the year at different levels of difficulty, including the American Mathematics Competitions, Princeton University Math Competition, and the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament. These competitions emphasize creative problem solving and do not require knowledge of calculus. We invite everyone interested to join!
For those who are just beginning to do competition math, see "Resources."
For past results see "2022-23."
For sample math questions see "TST." Keep in mind that later questions are intended to challenge even those who have qualified for the USA(J)MO.

Joining PHS Math Team (for students not attending PHS)
Unfortunately, students from other schools are not allowed to participate in PHS math team events. However, we might be able to make an exception for an onsite contest, assuming that your school / organization does not have a team of its own.
PUMaC
We will likely send one team composed exclusively of PHS students, as we are unable to register extra individuals. Try registering by yourself.
In the [unlikely] event that we send two teams, you might be able to join.
HMMT
We will send one team to the November competition and one to the February competition You might be able to join.
ARML
See the other page.
In any case, please contact the captains for more information about tryout tests (usually October for PUMaC, December or January for HMMT).
