Ponchatoula H.S. Band and Guard

Regional marching festivals: The band participates in several marching festivals from the end of September through October, performing their halftime show. The band competes against groups from across the state and across the Gulf Coast.

Winter Concert: The band fills a more festive role with the annual Winter Concert held in the PHS Auditorium in December.

Mardi Gras Parades: The band participates in several parades in the spring. We try to do three or four and we are usually done before the school holiday break!

Spring Concert: The band puts together a program for the District IX Large Ensemble Assessment, where they are judged by a panel of experts and given a rating. The band then presents those pieces, as well as a few more, at the Spring Concert in April or May.
