App X Tech built Apps Vault - Apps Locker as an app-locking and privacy protection application. This Privacy Policy explains how our app accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when you use Apps Vault - Apps Locker.
By using this app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Apps Vault - Apps Locker is designed to help users protect selected applications on their device by locking them with a PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or other supported unlock method.
The app helps prevent unauthorized access to selected apps and supports privacy protection features such as app lock, intruder photo capture, lock screen overlay, app protection after reboot, and security notifications.
Apps Vault - Apps Locker may access or process certain information only to provide app-locking, security, and app functionality.
The app may access the list of installed applications on your device. This may include app names, package names, and app icons.
This access is required so users can view installed apps and select which apps they want to lock.
We use this information only for app-lock functionality. We do not sell installed-app information.
The app may request Usage Access permission to detect when a locked app is opened.
This permission allows Apps Vault - Apps Locker to identify when a user-selected protected app is launched, so the app can immediately display the lock screen and prevent unauthorized access.
The app does not read the content inside other apps.
The app may request Camera permission for security features such as capturing an intruder photo after failed unlock attempts, if this feature is enabled by the user.
Camera access is used only for this security purpose. Intruder photos are stored locally on the user’s device unless the user deletes or shares them.
On older Android versions, the app may request storage permission to save app-related files, security photos, or other app-generated content.
The app uses storage access only where required for app functionality.
The app may request notification permission to show security alerts, app-lock status, foreground service notifications, or other important app-related messages.
Users can disable notifications anytime from Android system settings.
The app may request permission to display over other apps. This permission is required to show the lock screen when a protected app is opened.
Apps Vault - Apps Locker does not use overlay permission to read, collect, or modify content from other apps.
Apps Vault - Apps Locker uses a foreground service to keep app-lock protection active.
This foreground service is required for the core app-lock functionality. It continuously monitors access to user-selected locked applications and immediately displays the lock screen when a protected app is opened.
This helps prevent unauthorized access to sensitive apps and ensures that app-lock protection remains active during normal device use, after app switching, and after device restart if enabled by the user.
The service runs only to provide app security and privacy protection. It does not read the contents of other apps, collect passwords from other apps, or perform hidden actions. A visible notification may be shown while the protection service is active.
The app may use internet and network access for app functionality, service communication, updates, feedback, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or Google/Firebase services if included in the app.
Apps Vault - Apps Locker may request the following permissions:
INTERNET
Used to access internet-based services, app updates, feedback, analytics, crash reporting, or ads if included.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Used to check whether the device has an active internet connection.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Used to show security alerts, app-lock status messages, and foreground service notifications.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE
Used to keep app-lock protection active while the app protects selected applications.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE
Used for app-lock protection when the service must remain active to detect protected app launches and display the lock screen immediately.
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
Used to show the list of installed apps so users can select which apps they want to lock.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS
Used to detect when a locked app is opened so the lock screen can be displayed.
ACTION_MANAGE_OVERLAY_PERMISSION
Used to open Android settings so users can grant display-over-other-apps permission.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
Used to display the lock screen over protected apps.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Used to restart app-lock protection after the device is rebooted, if enabled.
CAMERA
Used for security features such as capturing an intruder photo after failed unlock attempts, if enabled.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Used on supported older Android versions to save app-related files or security photos.
Apps Vault - Apps Locker does not intentionally collect:
Contacts
SMS messages
Call logs
Precise location
Microphone recordings
Banking information
