Infrared Photography

Stimulated infrared photography allows the photographer to capture infrared wavelengths, which sit at about 750 nm to 1 mm. These wavelengths of light that aren’t visible to the human eye but through editing can be captured. The resulting effect is something very scientific, yet artistic as it renders vegetation and objects that reflect infrared waves bright pink. Infrared photography has traditionally been used for military, forestry and surveying purposes, but it has been subject to a few artistic portfolios.

These photos were taken of the same plant after various storms that hit Northern California in 2023. Much like snowflakes dew drops are all unique in the way they form on the waxy outsides of the plant's leaves. The uniqueness and variety that is portrayed is a testament to diversity that is found among all life on earth
