Project Studio ("we," "our," or "us") operates the PhotoCalendar mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information Collection and Use
Media Files
PhotoCalendar is a gallery application. To provide its core functionality, the App requires access to your device’s internal and external storage to display, organize, and manage your photos and videos.
Local Processing: All media processing, including chronological sorting, folder filtering, and thumbnail generation, is performed locally on your device.
No Uploads: We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos or videos to any external servers. Your memories remain private and under your exclusive control.
Application Data
The App may store small amounts of data locally (such as "Bookmarks" or "Tags" and user preferences) in your device’s private storage. This data is not shared with us or any third parties.
2. Permissions
To function correctly, the App requests the following permissions:
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO: Required to display your media in the calendar grid.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required for older Android versions to access photo folders.
INTERNET: Required exclusively for Google Play Billing and license verification.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Google Play Services & Billing
We use the Google Play Billing Library to process In-App Purchases (IAP). When you make a purchase, Google collects payment information and transaction details according to their own privacy policies. We only receive a confirmation of the purchase status to unlock "Pro" features.
4. Data Security
The security of your data is important to us. Because PhotoCalendar operates almost entirely offline and does not maintain a user database, your risk of data exposure through our App is minimal. We rely on the native security features of the Android operating system to protect the data stored on your device.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
