This policy explains how Photo Recovery ("the app"), made by Mayur Savsaviya ("we"), handles your information. In short: the app works on your iPhone, and we do not collect, store or share your personal data.
Information we collect
None. The app has no account or sign-up, and it contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools. We have no servers that receive your data.
Your photo library
With your permission, the app reads your photo library to find hidden photos, burst frames, Live Photo frames, photos that are in no album, screenshots, similar photos and blurry photos. All of this happens on your iPhone. Your photos and their details (such as dates, locations and file sizes) are never uploaded or sent to us or to anyone else.
When you ask it to, the app changes your library: it unhides photos, saves frames, adds photos to a "Recovered" album, or removes photos. iOS asks you to confirm before photos are removed, and removed photos go to Recently Deleted.
You can change or withdraw photo access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
The vault
Photos you move into the vault are copied into the app's private storage on your iPhone and protected with iOS Data Protection. We cannot see or open them. Face ID or your passcode is checked by iOS. The app never receives your face data. If you delete the app, iOS deletes the vault and everything in it.
Files you import
Photos you choose in the Files app are saved into your photo library on your iPhone. They are not sent anywhere.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules occasional scan reminders on your iPhone. They are created on the device. We do not run a notification server and do not receive any token or identifier.
Network use
To tell you when an update is available, the app checks Apple's public App Store lookup service and sends only the app's bundle ID. Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy. Ratings are requested through Apple's standard rating prompt.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, export or delete. Everything the app stores stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
