This feature-length documentary, still in its rough-cut stage, introduces the viewer to wood sculptor and toy maker Stephen Geddes. While working for the Kenner toy company (and later Hasbro) he carved the wax figurines used in the production of the original set of 3 1/2 inch Star Wars action figures and monsters. The latter included Rancor, Dewback and the (very rare) Dianoga. Despite his successful commercial career, Geddes informs us that his life-long passion was, and continues to be, to carve wood (in particular, basswood) to create his unique fine-art sculptures.
This video is an interviews of paleontologist Dr. Neal Naranjo, founder of the Naranjo Museum of Natural History in Lufkin, TX. This interview will be combined with additional interviews of him and his fossil-hunting crew whilst conducting dinosaur excavations in the Badlands of Montana.
