Many students at our school believe that the phone policy that will come into affect after easter is unfair and could possibly put students in danger.
Following a new policy from the UK department of education, Our school has implemented a policy that if students are caught in posession of a mobile smartphone they will recieve detention and will have their phone taken away. Whilst we agree that there should be a punishment for using your phone during school hours, We believe that the policy should be changed so that phones are not kept in the school overnight. You can see some of our opinions below or by clicking here. We believe that an acceptable solution would be to change the confiscation period so that it would only last until the end of the day and the school could possibly increase the punishment. For example, the punishment could be suspention or a day in isolation.Â
