About the App
Phone Number Locator shows where a phone number is registered. Enter a number and the App shows its country and registered region (city, state and postal/PIN code, where available) on a map, along with any spam reports for that number.
Important: the App shows the region a phone number is registered to. It does not track or show the live location of a person or device.
Getting Started
1. Open the App and tap Locate Number (or the green button in the middle of the tab bar).
2. Check the country shown above the keypad. Tap it to choose a different country.
3. Enter the phone number on the keypad, then tap Locate Number.
4. The map searches while the lookup runs, then zooms in to the number's registered region and shows the result card.
Understanding Your Result
• Address – the registered city, state and postal/PIN code, where available.
• Coordinates – the approximate centre of that region on the map.
• Accuracy – "City level" when a city was found; "Region level" when only the country or state is known.
• Spam reports – how many people have reported the number, and the most common report type.
On the result card you can:
• Directions – open the region in Apple Maps.
• Share – send the result by Messages, Mail or the iOS share sheet, or copy it.
• Save – keep the result in History under the Saved tab.
Using the App
• History – every lookup is listed in the History tab. Switch between All and Saved, and tap any entry to view it again.
• Map – the Map tab shows a pin for every number you've looked up.
• Default country – Settings > Default country sets the country the keypad starts with.
• Appearance – Settings > Appearance lets you choose Light, Dark or System (follows your iPhone's setting).
• Save search history – turn this off in Settings to stop saving new lookups.
• Clear history – Settings > Clear history deletes all saved lookups from your iPhone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the App show a person's live location?
No. Phone Number Locator shows the region a number is registered to, not where a person or phone is right now.
Why does a result say "Region level" instead of a city?
Some numbers only have country or state information available. The map then shows the wider region.
Why can't I tap Locate Number?
The button turns on once you've entered a complete number for the selected country (for example, 10 digits for India). Check that the right country is selected.
The lookup failed. What should I do?
Check that your iPhone is connected to the internet, then tap Try again. If it keeps failing, contact us with the number's country and the time you tried.
The map is blank or loading slowly.
Map images are downloaded as you view them. A slow or limited connection can delay them. Wait a moment or move the map slightly.
Does the App access my contacts or location?
No. The App never asks for access to your contacts, GPS location, photos, camera or microphone. Once per install, the App records the approximate network region of your internet connection (based on your IP address) for analytics. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Where is my search history stored?
Only on your iPhone. It is never uploaded. You can delete it at any time in Settings > Clear history, and deleting the App removes it completely.
My number appears in the App. Can I have it removed?
Yes. Email sojitramilan34@gmail.com from the number's owner, or include proof of ownership, and we'll act on verified requests within 30 days.
How do I rate the App?
Go to Settings > Rate app. We really appreciate your feedback.
