Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 20, 2026
Phone Dialer & Contacts is a smart phone dialer, contacts manager, and call app that provides fast calling tools and an enhanced communication experience. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android app.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The app is developed by Eretmochelys Imbricata, located in Gujarat, India. You can contact us at Eretmochelyimbricata@gmail.com.
This policy applies to the Phone Dialer & Contacts app available on Google Play. It describes the information we may collect, how we use it, and your rights. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the core features of the app. Any data recovery operations are performed locally on your device.
This Privacy Policy helps you understand what information the app may access or collect, why it does so, and how you can manage your choices. We follow best practices aligned with Google Play Developer Program Policies, GDPR (for EU users), CCPA/CPRA (for California residents), and CalOPPA.
The app primarily works with data stored on your device. Most features, including contacts and call management, operate locally without sending your personal information to us or third parties.
We do not collect any personal data that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, phone number, or location, through the app itself.
The app may access certain device permissions and data stored on your phone to provide its core functionality (detailed in the Permissions section below). All such data remains on your device unless you explicitly use features that involve external services (such as notifications or analytics).
We do not collect or store your contact list, call logs, or other personal communication data on our servers. These are handled locally on your device.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on the following legal bases when processing any data:
Performance of a contract — to provide the app's core calling and contacts features you request.
Legitimate interests — to improve app performance, fix crashes, and deliver relevant notifications (where these do not override your rights).
Consent — where required, for example, for certain optional features like notifications or advertising personalization. You can withdraw consent at any time through your device settings.
The app requests specific Android permissions only when needed for its features. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Here is a clear explanation of each:
Network Access (INTERNET): Required to support optional features such as fetching updates, enabling notifications, analytics, and advertising services. No personal data is shared without your awareness.
Notification Access (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Allows the app to send call reminders, incoming call alerts, and important updates to enhance your experience.
Contacts Access (READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS): Needed to read and manage your contacts so the dialer can display names, enable quick calling, and provide a better communication experience. All contact data is processed locally on your device and is not shared with third parties.
Phone & Call Management (CALL_PHONE, READ_CALL_LOG, WRITE_CALL_LOG, READ_PHONE_STATE, MODIFY_PHONE_STATE): Essential for core features like placing calls, viewing and managing call history, identifying call status, and offering an enhanced dialer. Data is handled securely and primarily stays on your device.
Audio Settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Allows control of audio during calls, such as switching between speaker, earpiece, or Bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth Access (BLUETOOTH): Used to connect with Bluetooth headsets or devices for hands-free calling. No personal data is collected or transmitted.
Alarm & Scheduling (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, WAKE_LOCK): Enables scheduling of call reminders and ensures timely background tasks without collecting personal information.
Full Screen Intent (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): Supports full-screen incoming call notifications so you can answer calls quickly and easily.
Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO): Allows access to media files (for example, custom ringtones or audio) and local storage of app settings or data. Files are accessed only when needed and are not shared externally.
System Settings Modification (WRITE_SETTINGS): Permits changes to certain system settings like ringtones or call configurations, always with user awareness.
Disable Keyguard (DISABLE_KEYGUARD): Temporarily disables the lock screen during incoming calls to allow quick answering. Used strictly for call functionality.
Device Feature: Telephony: Supports calling on devices with telephony hardware (optional and only on compatible devices).
The app also includes <queries> tags for packages like WhatsApp and Google services to enable optional sharing or calling features where supported by your device.
All user-generated data (such as contacts, call logs, settings, and preferences) is stored locally on your device using secure Android storage mechanisms like Room Database. This data does not leave your device through our application.
We do not share any of your personal data with third-party companies, services, or individuals for their own purposes. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data on your device, but we cannot guarantee absolute security since the app runs on your hardware.
We use the following libraries and SDKs to build and improve the app. Many operate entirely locally with no data collection or transmission:
Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Performance Monitoring): Firebase Analytics collects unidentified app usage data, such as feature engagement and crash reports, to help us improve performance. Firebase Crashlytics provides stability insights. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) enables notifications. Performance Monitoring helps measure app speed and responsiveness. For details, see the Firebase Privacy and Security page.
Dagger Hilt: Used for dependency injection to manage code efficiently. No user data is collected.
Room Database: Local storage for app data like settings and preferences. Data stays on your device and is not transmitted to any third parties.
Gson: Helps handle JSON data internally. No user data collection.
Lottie: Renders smooth animations for a better user interface. No data collection.
libphonenumber: Formats, validates, and manages phone numbers locally. All processing happens on your device with no external transmission.
RecyclerView Swipe Decorator, Glide (image loading), AndroidX libraries (Fragment KTX, ViewModel KTX, Preference KTX, Lifecycle Extensions, LocalBroadcastManager, WorkManager KTX): These are Android Jetpack components that improve the app's user interface, performance, and background task management. They do not collect or transmit user data.
RxJava & RxAndroid: Handle asynchronous operations and background tasks efficiently. No user data is shared externally.
SimpleCropView: Supports image cropping where needed in the app. Operates locally.
For more information on these open-source libraries, please refer to their respective documentation on GitHub or official Android developer sites.
The app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, AdX (Google Ad Manager), and Facebook (Meta) Audience Network. These services may collect certain device and usage information (such as device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data) to show relevant ads and measure performance.
Analytics is provided by Firebase Analytics, which collects non-identifying usage data like feature engagement and crash reports.

The app itself does not use web cookies. However, the advertising and analytics services integrated in the app may use similar technologies (such as SDK identifiers or device signals) on the ad-serving side. These are governed by the third-party providers' policies linked above.
We process minimal data, mostly limited to what is necessary for the app to function on your device. Any data accessed via permissions (contacts, call logs, etc.) is used only for the described purposes and remains under your control on the device.
Advertising and analytics services may process anonymized or pseudonymous data for their own purposes as described in their policies. We do not link this to any personally identifiable information we hold (since we hold none).
Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not retain your personal data on our servers.
Uninstalling the app removes all associated local data from your device.
The app offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions for premium features.
All payments and subscriptions are handled safely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions:
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them before the next billing date. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your Google Play account settings. If you cancel, you will continue to enjoy premium features until the current billing period ends.
Purchase Information:
Google may share limited, non-personal purchase details with us, such as subscription status or validity, so we can unlock premium features.
Refunds & Cancellations:
All refund requests must be made through Google Play, following Google Play’s refund rules.
Third-Party Sharing:
We do not share your purchase or subscription information with any third parties, except when required by Google for payment verification.
All in-app purchases and subscriptions follow the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
If you are in the EEA, you have rights including:
Access to information we hold about you (by contacting us).
Correction or deletion of data.
Restriction or objection to processing.
Data portability where applicable.
Since most data is local, you can exercise many rights directly by managing permissions or uninstalling the app. For assistance, contact us at the email above.
California residents have rights to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Because we collect very little identifiable data, many rights relate to third-party advertising services (which provide their own opt-out mechanisms via device settings or their privacy tools).
You may also submit requests by contacting us.
We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers because the app is not primarily a web service. You can control tracking related to advertising through your device advertising ID settings (Limit Ad Tracking) or by managing app permissions.
Any data processed by third-party services (Firebase, AdMob, Meta) may be transferred and stored outside India, including in the United States, in accordance with those providers’ safeguards and the linked privacy policies.
The app does not engage in or facilitate malware distribution, unauthorized network access, or similar misuse. All network activity is limited to the legitimate purposes described (notifications, analytics, and advertising).
The app may contain links or integration points to other services (for example, WhatsApp or Google services via queries). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party apps or websites. Please review their policies.
This app does not target or attract children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently received such data, please contact us so we can address it.
We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a valid legal process, protect the rights or safety of users, or respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date at the top will be revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
