Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Phone Cleaner ("the App"), developed by AppMerge ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The service
Phone Cleaner is a utility app that helps you free up storage and organize your device. It can detect duplicate, similar, blurry, and large photos and videos, review screenshots, merge duplicate contacts, review calendar events, compress videos, and store selected items in a Face ID–protected private vault. All of this analysis happens on your device.
2. Your responsibility for your data
The App can permanently delete photos, videos, contacts, and other content that you select. Deletion is your choice and your responsibility. Once you confirm a deletion and it is removed from your device (and, where applicable, from your device's "Recently Deleted" album after the system retention period), it may not be recoverable. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from your use of the App. We strongly recommend keeping a separate backup (for example, iCloud or another backup service) before deleting content.
3. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing
Phone Cleaner offers an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks premium features. The following terms apply:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions after purchase.
- The current price, billing period, and free-trial length are shown in the App before you confirm any purchase.
4. Purchases and refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms; we cannot directly grant or deny refunds. For refund requests, please use Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose and only with content you own or are authorized to manage. You agree not to misuse, reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to disrupt the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, artwork, and branding, is owned by AppMerge and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to the App Store terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will detect every file or produce any particular result.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppMerge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
