# Privacy Policy — Phone Camera as WebCam + Phone Mic

Phone Camera as WebCam + Phone Mic ("the extension") is developed by
SuryaCreates / Sursite ("we," "us"). This policy explains what data the
extension accesses, how it's used, and what it never does with it.
## What the extension does
The extension lets you use your phone's camera and microphone as a
wireless webcam/mic inside Chrome tabs (e.g. Google Meet, Zoom Web,
WhatsApp Web). Your phone connects to your computer over a
peer-to-peer WebRTC connection after a short pairing step (QR code or
phone number + PIN).
## What data we collect
**We do not collect, store, or have access to your camera video or
microphone audio.** Once your phone and computer are paired, video and
audio stream directly between your two devices using WebRTC. This
traffic never passes through our servers and we cannot see or record
it.
**Pairing handshake data.** To help your phone and computer find each
other, a small amount of connection-setup data (technical
identifiers used for WebRTC negotiation, such as SDP/ICE information)
is relayed through PeerJS's public signaling service
(`0.peerjs.com`), a third-party service we do not operate. This data
contains no video, audio, or personal information — only what's
needed to establish the peer-to-peer connection. See

infrastructure.
**Locally stored preferences.** The extension saves the following on
your own device only, using Chrome's local storage:
- Your saved pairing details (e.g. phone number + PIN or pairing ID),
so you don't have to re-pair every time
- Your light/dark theme preference
None of this locally stored information is transmitted to us or to
any third party. It stays on your device and is only used to restore
your settings the next time you use the extension. You can clear it
at any time by using the "Forget" option in the extension or by
removing the extension.
## What we don't do
We do not:
- Sell or transfer your data to third parties
- Use or transfer data for purposes unrelated to the extension's
single purpose (using your phone as a webcam/mic in Chrome)
- Use or transfer data to determine creditworthiness or for lending
- Collect personally identifiable information, health information,
financial information, authentication credentials, personal
communications, location data, web history, or user activity
(clicks, keystrokes, browsing history, etc.)
## Third-party services
The extension relies on two external services purely to establish
connections:
- **PeerJS public signaling server** (`0.peerjs.com`) — relays
pairing/handshake data only, as described above
- **cam.suryacreates.com** — a static page you open on your phone to
start the pairing process; it does not log or store your camera
feed
## Permissions used
- **Host permissions (all sites):** needed so the extension can offer
itself as a virtual camera option on whichever site you choose to
video call on
- **storage:** to save your local pairing/theme preferences as
described above
- **offscreen:** to maintain the WebRTC connection in the background
## Children's privacy
The extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly
collect data from children.
## Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the
revised policy.
