Phone Link may be disrupted due to power, Bluetooth connectivity, and other technical issues. Also, unlike your mobile or fixed-line phone, Phone Link is not required by local or national regulations to provide access to emergency services.

I have a phone landline connection and I DO NOT have a phone instrument. I connect the cable into my laptop, and want to make calls using my laptop. I have an HDA CX20561 modem. I seem to be able to dial number using dialer.exe, though nothing seems to happen. From Microsoft kb , it looks like dialer.exe alone is not enough for the call.

I have Windows 7 64-bit and a USB modem (no speaker or mic). I use the built-in dialer.exe to dial the number when I want to make phone calls:-- using the telephone/handset that is attached to the phone-- using a phone headset attached to the speaker and mic ports on my laptop-- using the speaker and built-in mic on my laptop (not good quality).

You could probably use built-in speaker and external mic, or built-in mic and external "speaker" (aka headphones), but I think you'll run into interference, causing poor quality (as I experience when I use the speaker and built-in mic on my laptop).

I want to use my laptop with LTE modem (and SIM card slot) for regular calls, using the phone number associated with my SIM. From my current operator, and also some forums, I got an answer that it is not possible.

I understand that when a smartphone is connected to an internet via 4G (LTE), and a call is established, it reverts to 3G or 2G network. This would make sense that if a laptop's broadband module only supports 4G, it is not able to do so.

Today, we are excited to announce that Microsoft Phone Link for iOS on Windows 11 is beginning to rollout to our global audience in 39 languages across 85 markets. We recently announced that Windows 11 was expanding our Phone Link feature to enable the connection between a Windows 11 PC and an iOS mobile device with the goal of removing barriers between your phone and PC and making it easier to connect to the people you care about most.

Please Note: If you manually add a call elsewhere outside of the task list (such as via Quick Actions) the call will not be properly removed from your calls list! You must initiate the dialer from your toolbar or call list in the Dashboard.

The laptop one, well first the laptop is Dell Latitude E5430 and I installed a Dell DW5808 from eBay both are made by Sierra Wireless and both where picked for their application based on research online.

I thought about that and have sent a email to Sierra Wireless what I got back was that they make the part but Dell added their own lets say stuff (software) and I need to contact them. I have a Venue 11 pro 7130 I am having the same issue windows 10 upgrade from 8.1 and no dialer, One would think that it would be same dialer that was installed from the factory and that it would be available on the Dell website but?

Thank you for the reply and the idea I really do appreciate you taking the time

I forgot something and cannot find where to edit the other post so what I forgot to say I saw some evidence that these two WWAN cards are basically the same the only difference is screw holes the DW5808 has two holes for screws to mount it and the EM7355 has one centered I think from the research that the EM7355 is for tablets the DM5808 is for laptops type applications?

So for anyone looking at this in the future I never found a dialer or interface program for this application but from what I have read at the time these where new a few cellular companies in America sold these with full cellular service they had windows 8 and whatever dialer program they placed on theirs I have been unable to identify? Those companies are as far as I know were AT&T and Verizon?

So my tablet has remained data only but worked fine right up to when I removed the sim card to put in a phone so I could receive a code to be able to create an account on my cellular companies site here in Costa Rica. Once I received the code and returned to sim to the tablet it will not see it any longer, I have tried three cards one brand new prepaid and it will not see any of them and when I ran a diagnostic the tablet says everything is fine and working no issue it just does not see the sim card?

I have seen a few post on this issue online but no solutions?

Remote Phone Call connects your mobile phone with your Microsoft Windows PC.You can easily dial numbers, answer and end calls and write SMS messages. All from your desktop and also directly from Microsoft Outlook...

The classic setup of Remote Phone consists of two components. Remote Phone Call, the app running as service on the Android phone, and the PC client CallCenter.

Starting with CallCenter 6.0 the PC client alternatively connects to the mobile device via the Bluetooth Handsfree profile.Using the Handsfree profile does not require a running App on your phone. Therefore, also iPhones and nearly all other mobile phones are supported.

After establishing a connection, you can manage calls fully from your Microsoft Windows desktop. You can easily dial numbers from phone contacts, from the call history, from the clipboard, from Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and manually entered numbers.Further, you can accept and end calls. Using the Android app service or the Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP)additionally allows you to write and read SMS messages.

For the classic setup with the Android app we recommend the usage of a Bluetooth headset connected to your phone since call audio is not routed to the PC. In contrast, the Handsfree setup passes audio to the PC and you should use a headset connected to your PC.

You can see how to start calls on the phone from CallCenter or directly from Microsoft Outlook. Also some details about writing and reading SMS messages, about contact search and various other features are shown.

The PC client CallCenter works with our Android apps or without any app in the Handsfree mode. The client is included in the apps and can be transferred to the PC from your phone. You can also download the client installation package directly through the following link.

Because of architectural changes of the Android phone runtime extended features are currently deprecated and not available since version 6.1. Many thanks to all testers and your feedback.Maybe extended features for holding/activating calls, dialling DTMF tones, managing conference calls and so on will be available in a later version again.

Since begin of development of Remote Phone Call a full featured remote control of all phone functions was the goal. Although Android is a greatdevelopment platform, there are some features which cannot be controlled by app developers. For example it is not possible to dial DTMF tones for active calls andto manage foreground, background and conference calls. Even such basic functions like answering and ending calls are not directlyoffered and may stop working in future Android releases.

Starting with Android 4.4.3 some of this missing functions and with Android 5.0 nearly all features are provided. Unfortunately this new functionsare not usable for common app developers. They are only available for device manufactures and for users which owns rooted phones.Nevertheless, the current Remote Phone Call version adds experimental support for extended call management functions.

Installation of Remote Phone Call as system app is only possible on rooted phones or on devices with unlocked bootloader and installed extended recovery tools. Please note that rooting or unlocking can lead to severe damages of device and loss of warranty.WE ARE NOT RESPONSABLE FOR DAMAGS OF YOUR DEVICE OR ANY DATA LOSS. Help and vote to make this available for non-rooted phones too.

For the classic setup via the Android service you would need to buy a Google Play licence for the app Remote Phone Callor, if Google Play is not an option for you, you could buy a licence key for the Android app Remote Phone Call LK.The LK key must be entered on the settings screen of Remote Phone Call LK on your phone. In both cases you do not need any further licence. The PC client CallCenter is free for connections to a licenced Android app.

Microsoft is the latest tech company that makes it easier to use your phone from your computer. Apple has Continuity, which lets you pass documents, photos and phone calls between your Apple devices. Samsung lets you mirror content between its mobile devices and MacOS and Windows. Even Google lets you use its Messages app in a browser on Macs and PCs.

6. In the next window, tap Continue and then tap Allow if you want to let the app access your contacts, manage phone calls, access files on the phone and send and view SMS messages.

2. In the left-hand pane, tap Photos, Messages or Notifications to manage those items from your phone. If you don't see anything, tap Refresh to pull in photos and messages.

With RingCentral Phone, you can manage your phone system directly from your preferred device and OS and take your business calls, voice messages, SMS texts, and faxes anywhere. Easily separate your business communications from your personal communications on the same device, and all without using any carrier minutes.

From within a dial-out supported country, you can use Meet to call US or Canadian phone numbers. If your organization turns on Meet Global Dialing, you can use Meet to call more international numbers.

Does anyone know why the phone dialler would be missing on the Windows client? The user has the correct license and has been using it for months. It is visible on her desktop PC but is missing from the installation on her Windows laptop. 2351a5e196
