Welcome to the Pine Hill Middle School Library!
Our library strives to promote a positive learning environment for students and staff. The library program aims to encourage critical thinking, initiative, foster an appreciation for literature with a goal of becoming lifelong readers, and teach collaboration and perseverance to better prepare our students in a diverse and ever-changing world.
1. Before school until the start of homeroom.
2. During periods 1 - 7 and lunch periods:
a. as part of a class that has scheduled time in the Library,
b. with a pass from a teacher for a specified purpose,
c. with a pass from study hall
Students may visit the library with a pass from their teacher. One pass per student.
Teachers can send up to 2 students per study hall to the library.
Students are permitted 2 books at a time. Any lost items must be paid for or replaced with the same or similar book.
Items can be renewed up to 2 times unless a hold is requested by another patron. Books borrowed from another library can be renewed only with the permission of the lending library.
Faculty and staff may check out up to 30 items from the library that will be due at the end of each semester.

PHMS Library Services:
Book Checkouts - Booktalks and class checkouts
Instruction - Class lesson length and frequency dependent upon need.
Library Only - Small groups, meetings, and trainings. Availability upon request.
Books on a Cart - A cart of books for classroom use. Please provide at least 48 hrs advance notice.
