These rules are different from in-game rules, and they're here to help you guide through the application process.

Make an effort in answering the application questions.
Plagiarizing your application is wrong. All images you send to the picture submission channel later will be reverse google image searched.
You may do one application only during an application period.
Please do not ask the MineValley Build team to review your builder application within 7 days of you submitting it.

Before applying, make sure you understand the following:

You must have a minimum of 10 days of playtime.
You must have access to pictures of your previous projects.
You must be ready to show at least 3 original builds of yours.
You must have a Discord account and a shareable email to get access to our Project Document.
We recommend you stop here if you're just looking for permissions and titles.
Do not apply if you're an active builder for another server.
It will help your application process IF you've had prior experience in building for a server. It's not a necessity as we're here to teach, learn and have fun together!

Examples of your ambitions that have positively affected the server.
Well behaved and good manners.
Is reliable, listens to others and their ideas, and is creative.
Has pictures of old build projects.

This is your job description as a Build Team member.

Come up with creative ideas for future and present build projects.
Actively participate in build projects.
Learn new things in every project, whether it was World Edit commands or how to build a custom tree.
Follow the given tasks you get.
Your previous ideas/projects/knowledge/experiences are important! You may include them in your application.

How long does it take for staff to read my application?
1-7 days depending on how many applications we receive.
Please do not ask staff to check your application if it's "good enough", and please do not hurry us either. We will get back to everyone who applied once we have time.
When will we get a response to our applications?
Expect a response from Laomedeia through discord within a week or two after your submission.
Denied and accepted applicants will receive a message in Discord from either Beanos or Laomedeia. Make sure your DMs are open!
What do I do if my application was denied?
Reapply once the application period is back up if your goal is to become a staff member.
If you decide to reapply, please do not copy and paste your previous answers. Those old answers of yours most likely are what made us deny your application.
Can I apply even though I've received a punishment in-game (or on Discord)?
Depending on the severity of your punishment (kick, jail, mute, temp ban, perm ban) it's more likely to be denied if the punishment has been any worse than a mute.
If you've been temp banned or even banned before applying for the build team, your application will be denied.
There is a question regarding this in the MineValley builder application form and you will get a chance to explain why you received a punishment. Be honest about it!
I am a builder on another server, but I'm not active there. Can I still apply for the builder position on MineValley?
Yes you can apply, but your application will most likely not be accepted.
I want to be both staff and a builder. Do I have to apply separately?
Yes you do! Builders are not considered staff as they're only building for the server.
