I downloaded the programme which told me that one waste ink was at 65 % and the other was at 100% This told me that the programme was communicating with the printer (Another utility I tried would not even talk to the printer.) Something weird happened with my printer. I can not login to web interface 192.168.192.168/webconfig. Also, I can not ping it. I tried to reset it to factory settings with pushing the reset button on the back side of the printer. It did not work. Maybe someone faced the same issue before. How can I bring my printer IP settings back?

I tried to reset it "to factory status", with no success. I switched it on and off, switched it on while keeping down one key, then another, then all of them - nothing happened. Re-installing the software and going through the "initialization" process again doesn't help either - the printer blinks, looks for a WiFi, then after 10 minutes the process ends with a timeout.

Thank you so much, DialJC! Unfortunately, I've already gone through the links you sent me - the XP-202 doesn't have an LSD display, my HAG doesn't have a WPS button, and I've read the network guide. Those guides are for generic 20x, 30x etc. but NONE of them indicates how to force an hardware reset in the XP-202 - one does but it doesn't work!!!

You do not need to hard-reset the printer, just press the WPS button from the new router, then press the WIFI button of the printer for 3 minutes. If the WIFI LED lights both green/orange, then the switch to the new router is complete.

After frustrating for hours with a EPSON XP-225, a printer so poor it doesn't even have a reset button, let alone a display, found this post super helpful. The printer would not connect to WIFI, because it had moved to a new address and the old router remained at the old location. Anyway, NOTHING WORKED, it could not be installed again via USB or WIFI. After countless of attempts of resetting, only barely being able to restrain myself from throwing the sweet thing from the balcony, I pressed the power button for like 10-15 seconds and it actually worked.. Has anyone found a solution to this? I just spent 3 hours fighting with this stupid $80 printer because I refuse to be beat by consumer electronics. I've followed every possible solution I've found online, and the old SSID is STILL stuck in the settings on this thing and I can't get them to reset.

I've also run the Epson setup software and gotten to the point where I can choose to "install wireless printer using temporary USB connection" and it recognizes the printer, then freezes on the "installing software" page every time.

Epson is a major printer manufacturer that produces a wide range of laser and inkjet printers. The printers are functional for home and business use, and they come with instruction manuals and online support. Using the reset feature is a common need to clear a jam, clear a queue or to work through a different set of troubleshooting issues. Not all models have a reset button, but they all have a process to reset the printer.

Before you jump to reset the printer, first check for other solutions. For example, a reset will not clear a paper jam, because a paper jam is a physical problem. In this case, you must access the paper tray and physically remove the jammed page. Once removed, select Resume the job, and your printer will continue printing.

Modern Epson printers are excellent at sensing when a paper jam has occurred, and the printer will wait for for the jam to clear before it resumes the job. Paper jams are usually an easy fix that do not justify a full reset process. Just dig in and clear the jam with your hands.

The power option is not technically a reset, but the process is simple and quick. The process can repair a surprising number of problems, simply by creating a fresh slate for the printer. Sometimes, the power cycle will clear the processing jobs, and in other cases, it will reload those jobs.

Use a paperclip to pres the button and hold it for several seconds. This will t*rigger the reset requir*ed for the IP address. If your printer does not have this option, you may need to reset the IP address from the computer by accessing the printer settings.

Find the button marked Pause/Reset on the row of buttons on the control panel. Press and hold the button down for at least three seconds to clear the print job and reset your printer so you can start printing again.

At this point, you can run a single maintenance utility to reset the printer. It will not allow you to repeat this reset process more than once, and you will need to replace internal parts or the printer itself after the error message returns.
