Hi, I'm Phil Lynes, a leisure hobby artist from Norfolk.
I enjoyed painting at school, and it ended once I went out to work and I had my family.
Now the the children have grown up and left home, so I have a spare room that I use for my paintings
Due to suffering detached retinas in both eyes over a period of three years starting in 2016, when my local hospital gave me emergency operations they have saved my eyesight so I can still paint.
As a thank you to the hospital I have organised an Art Exhibition called Art for Eyes to raise funds for the James Paget hospital. Over 280 pieces have been donated by 80 artists to take place in May 2022.
The exhibition was a great success and we raised £5400.
Now to start painting again .
