About
I am a member of the Teaching Faculty at Florida State University's Institute for Governance and Civics. I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
My research focuses on the relationship between politics and memory, time, narrative, identity, nationality, and citizenship. I explore a range of eras, from twentieth-century Spanish and early American political thought to contemporary questions in liberal and democratic theory. I also write more broadly on the ancient and modern traditions in political theory.
My work has been published in Political Research Quarterly, American Political Thought, The Political Science Reviewer, Polis: The Journal for Ancient Greek and Roman Political Thought, and The European Legacy.
