Philips universal remote controls can operate audio and video devices of almost any brand. For each of your audio/video devices, you have to enter a Device Code in the universal remote control. This search tool can help you find the right Device Code for your equipment.

Thanks to the superior ergonomic design, the remote control offers you maximum comfort when controlling recordings or playback. With the familiar innovative remote you can comfortably dictate for even extended periods of time, relax your arm or rest it on the table whilst dictating.

The hygienic surface of the remote control physically hinders the colonization of germs and thus improves the efficiency of the usual measures for disinfecting the device. The polished, high quality pearl metal surface also makes the device non-sensitive to touch noises and fingerprints. This is especially useful in settings, such as hospitals for example.

I've updated Android on my Philips TV and to my surprise the TV prompted me, if I want to update my remote controller as well. Working in IT and reading about potential security issues, I usually prefer to update devices to higher firmwares, so I of course clicked on update (as can be seen on official video =30). Unfortunately my TV can't find the remote, even though I've tried the update process several times, while placing the remote to different places (and distance from TV).

The Philips AudioClip is a hearing aid accessory that serves as a remote microphone to help you better hear one-to-one conversations in noisy environments or when listening to someone speak from a distance. The person speaking only needs to place the device somewhere near their mouth. The microphones can pick up their voice which then is transferred to your hearing aids.

You can connect your hearing aids with your smartphone, your TV, radio or other devices and get the sound directly into your hearing aids. Download the Philips HearLink 2 app to manage your hearing aids more easily. Or use the app to get connected with your hearing care specialist for adjusting your hearing aids remotely. Check the list of compatible devices.

I just bought a brand new Philips 4K smart TV. Installation simple, and I figured out how to turn on the tv just by using the directtv remote control. But when I turn it off, it turns off the direct tv box, but then the TV asks if the satellite is off, so then I have to separately turn off the tv with the tv remote. I want to be able to turn off every thing with just the 1 remote., Possible? I wrote to Philips and it sounded like they didn't know the answer. They told me to go to settings and search for CEC devices but that didn't work for me.

TV brands and operators, through their settop box, are increasingly offering "Smart TV services" which requires a higher degree of user interaction. Where advances in user interface (UI) design made personal computing accessible, few in the industry have focussed the same attention on the need for a more sophisticated and intuitive UI. The remote control is fundamental to the UI and yet most SmartTV consumers are still asked to navigate and interact with a range of services using the up / down / left / right functionality of traditional remotes. That needs to change.

The animation below provides a simple demonstration of gyro and uWand based remotes in action and illustrates the disconnected user experience of relative pointing remotes. To see how that works in action try our SmartTV game simulation.

uWand technology is designed to provide consumers with the easiest and most intuitive interface for controlling smart home devices. With a single uWand-equipped remote control in the living room, it is possible to adjust the air conditioning, dim the lights, open the curtains and even play complex games on the smart TV, all through a single device.

Hello fellow projector owners and Philips, my 2 year old son thought it was a smashing idea to play with the remote and when I was trying to take it from him my son thought I was playing with him, one thing led to another and he threw the remote on the floor.

The Philips MyRemote App lets you use your iPhone/iPod Touch or Android smartphone as a remote to control your Philips products such as networked audio and video systems, Blu-ray players and home theatres. This free App is created exclusively by Philips.

is there a way (hardware/software-combination) that I can use to control one or more "Philips Living Colors" lamps using a PC - e.g. a USB-stick that acts as the "remote". This way i could control the lamp through software (e.g. a web-app - over iPhone / remotely) or even create what Philips builds into some of their TVs and calls "ambilight" (graphics driver detecting the main color to control the lamp).

I have two Living Colors, a "Generation 1" and a "Generation 2", and the bad news is that the remote hardware and (maybe) the protocol have been totally modified by Philips in the process (probably to add the "fading effects" of the second generation). So it's even more complicated now, such a transmitter would have to deal with the 2 protocols.

Below is an overview of the functions of the remote control keys. The functions of the keys are also listed in your TV's user manual. If you wish to print a copy of the instructions, you may download the attached 'Remote control_QSG.pdf' file from the FAQ page.

Hello, I just purchased a new Philips Roku TV this morning which came with its own Roku remote. I could control everything with the remote but when I play something, the volume comes out blaring loud and when I use the volume control on the remote, I see it decreasing on-screen but the actual volume doesn't go down at all! I took it all the way down to zero and it was still real loud!

I looked through settings and I dont even see an option to 'use remote to control tv'. I even tried pairing my Roku enhanced remote (from my Roku Ultra) to the TV. IT controls everything but the volume. Again, I see the volume changing on-screen but the actual sound coming from the TV doesn't change at all!

If the Philips Roku tv remote has crescent moon key for Sleep timer it is definitely an IR remote, so it should just work with Roku tv, no pairing needed. Also if the Roku tv remote has its discrete channel buttons one and top of the other it is an IR remote. I would try unplugging the tv power for a bit, plug it back in and see if it changes anything?

I turned off the TV, unplugged it from the wall and plugged it back in after 30 seconds. Then I took the remote from my Roku Ultra, put new batteries in it and held the sync button down for 5 seconds. Then the TV recognized it and everything worked fine after that.

I reset the tv this morning, and tried the unplug trick this afternoon. I hope that fixes the problem, I'd hate to have to go buy a new remote just to be able to use the brand new tv I just bought. I can't imagine it is above expectations to have a working remote come with the tv. Grrr. But thank you for the info.

There's been a lot of threads from recent purchases of Roku express models with bad IR Roku remotes. The Philips IR Roku tv remotes were probably made in the same Chinese factory? Where the owners of the express should have their remotes replaced by Roku. But in the case of Roku tv remotes you have to take it up with Tv Manufacturer, Roku only supplies the UI, not the remotes.

Philips universal remotes are neat devices that can be programmed to operate almost any television, DVD player, Blu-ray device, set-top box, or cable box. While the setup process is different for every unique model, the gist is generally the same. Using auto-code search takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process. This wikiHow article walks you through programming a Philips universal remote.

Tip: If one of the codes for your device ended up not working, you can retry the entire process using a device number for a different model in your brand. Sometimes there are software patches and updates that can interfere with which codes work on certain devices.

Tip: Most of the device buttons are obvious. TV, VCR, and DVD all correspond to those devices. STB stands for set-top box, and is what you need to press to sync the remote with a newer cable box and playback devices (like Roku, or TiVo). BD stands for Blu-ray device.

If your TV responds to _ADDRESS_OF_TV:1925/system then this integration can be used. In the response, you should also be able to see the version of the API the TV uses ("api_version":{"Major":6...).For older TVs follow instructions on how to activate the API and if your model is supported here. Note that not all listed, jointSPACE-enabled devices will have JSON-interface running on port 1925. This is true at least for some models before year 2011.

The Philips TV does not always support turning on via the API. You can either turn it on via an IR blaster or on some models using Wake On LAN (WOL). To trigger this command from the entities, the integration exposes a device trigger that can be setup to execute when the media_player is asked to turn on. 2351a5e196
