My musical interests include contemporary jazz, its intersections with hip-hop and other Black American Music, 19th-21st c. "classical" music, and free improvisation in contexts drawing on any/all of the above sonic spaces. I enjoy composition, influenced most by the jazz idiom and with improvisational elements incorporated.

I have been grateful to participate in several wonderful combos in the UC Jazz program in Berkeley during my Post-Doc, including a "Student / Faculty" combo with bassist Ryan Campbell and drummer Ted Moore.

During my time in Rochester, I was fortunate to be a founding member of the band Homeless, a loose collective sharing some personnel with CBFD, that emphasizes performances of completely free improvisation.
