Reflection Paper #1

When I found out that Chemistry was one of my subjects, I have this feeling that it will be the hardest. Then the first lecture was started, we're instructed to group ourselves into two and gave us a paper that has a lot of examples and definitions. My partner and I needed to share our thoughts about matter, so we can explain it in front. While we're sharing our thoughts, I'm getting information about solid, liquid, gas and plasma. After a few days of lectures, I found out that it is really hard but, it is fun after all. So, we have this quiz and we needed to memorize all of the laboratory apparatus and their functions. It is difficult to memorize but, thanks to my classmates who helped me. Lastly, I hope that we can all pass the task given to us.

Reflection Paper #2

This is the day that we’re assigned to form an object using the image of the things we want to aim. The moment we finish the collage, Ma’am Aguillar instructed us to share it in front, then she asked us about our collage and why did we choose that object. As you can see, the picture above is a heart shaped that formed out of the things I am aiming for.

Reflection Paper #3

Ma'am Aguillar discussed the topic about Macro Properties of Matter, we thought that it will be an easy one. But, we're wrong, because there's a lot of solving. We carefully listen so that we can understand how to solve it properly but, some of the formulas is hard to memorize. i also learn how to focus even if it is hot inside the room. When the afternoon session started, Ma'am Aguillar grouped us into two for our quiz about the Macro Properties of Matter. Me and my partner work together so that we can finish before the time runs out. Gladly, we got the answers for all of the given questions.

Reflection Paper #4

That day, we've learned about Atomic Structures and also the history of it. Most of the scientist proposed their theories with their own perceptions, one of the reason why they're arguing with each other. I also learned that all matter is composed of atoms, which are bits of matter is too small to be seen. These atoms cannot be further split into smaller portions. Then after the discussion, Ma'am Aguillar grouped us into 3 and assigned us to make a model of an atomic structure including its electron configuration.

Reflection Paper #5

When the Thermal Energy was discussed to us, it was easy to understand in the beginning, like how to convert Celcius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin. But, it is getting harder and harder because of the problems and a lot of formulas to remember. Luckily, we have Ma’am Aguilar who is willing to teach us unconditionally, she taught us the lessons step by step so that we can follow and understand her. I hope to learn more and understand this topic.

Reflection Paper #6

This day we’ve learned about Periodic Table of Elements and its numbers, corresponding position or group, level, and more. The number above the big letter of an element is the Atomic Number or Proton Number and the big letter represent as the Element Symbol, while the number under that is the Atomic Mass. I also learned that Dmitri Mendeleev is a Russian scientist who invented the periodic table, not just for himself, but, to serve as a tool to others in order to understand the elements easily.

Reflection Paper #7

What I’ve learned in this topic which is the elements and their function of properties as well. Why do I know this one because I have already a background knowledge that it requires me to know and to explore more beyond this topic. It really helps us to know everything to becoming knowledgeable enough in some ways of learning in this process.
