I am British, originally from Chile, and living in the south west of England. I studied for my BA, MA, and PhD at the University of Exeter, completing my PhD in Classical Studies in 2024.
My doctoral thesis, Aristotelian Objectivism about Beauty: a Defence, defended an Aristotelian conception of beauty against Platonist, Kantian, and Empiricist rivals. I am currently an independent researcher. My interest is foremost Socratic philosophy, the tradition of metaphysical and ethical realism stretching back to classical Greece and Rome. Especially Aristotelianism (and its medieval development in Thomism), Neoplatonism, and the Early Modern reception of these (such as the reception of Augustinian-Platonism in the later French Ancien Régime). My other interests include art history, early music, poetry, and drawing.
I am fluent in English and Spanish, and have intermediate reading and writing knowledge of French and Classical Latin.
