Philadelphia OS is honored to announce that we have been given an opportunity to spoil a pack's worth of cards from the amazing Spectral Chaos expansion. If you're a fan of Old School Magic, or early Magic history, or just cool things, you need to know about Spectral Chaos. This is a true "lost set" from the depths of Magic history, designed by Barry Reich from 1993 through 1995 and never released, although many of its designs would prove influential on sets from the following ten years or so. The set has been painstakingly recreated and annotated by Micah aka RagingRiver and the result is a set of cards that is as stunning as it is fascinating. You can read more about the project here and check out the rest of the spoiler here. To be clear, this is a fan art concept only; these are not cards that exist for actual play, and they are not for sale anywhere. We are only able to share them with you because Micah was kind enough to gift them to us.
Because Philadelphia OS is primarily a Discord-based community, we thought it would be fun to open the pack together (virtually) and discuss each card in detail as we did. Below are our thoughts. Enjoy!
And that's all of them! Once again I'd like to thank Micah for giving us the chance to spoil these amazing cards, as well as for putting the work in on this project as a whole. Check him and his other projects out at thechaosorb.com. Until next time, may all your first turns have Timetwisters.
